About the Association and its Activities
The Association “Cool Future – Verein für Klimaschutz” was founded in 2026 in Vienna and provides accessible, low-threshold education on climate change, and advocates for stronger climate mitigation and adaptation measures.
The overheating of our planet and the increasing frequency of related extreme weather events can put sectors that depend closely on nature, such as agriculture, under severe pressure. And with them, everyone who depends on their success: all of us.
Therefore, the association calls on farmers and other strongly affected groups to appeal to the public for support in urging political leaders to take stronger action.
Farmers and other stakeholders are invited to create and submit short videos describing their experiences with rising temperatures and extreme weather events. They are also encouraged to ask the public to send emails to political decision-makers, urging them to reduce emissions and strengthen climate adaptation measures. Please send your videos via WeTransfer to office@coolfuture.global.
The campaign is scheduled to launch shortly.
This pilot project starts in Austria but aims to expand its activities internationally over time.
This website is under development and will be updated on an ongoing basis.
Funding
Thank you for being here!
The association is funded through donations. Our strategy is to secure funding for the first year as quickly as possible—ideally for the first two years—so that we can operate with a reliable budget and allow our team to focus fully on the work.
We are therefore particularly looking for major donors, but we are equally grateful for smaller contributions. At present, all expenses are being covered by the board members from their own private and limited resources.
How can I donate?
Currently, donations can only be made directly to the association’s bank account:
Recipient: Cool Future – Verein für Klimaschutz
IBAN: AT24 1200 0100 4873 1037
BIC: BKAUATWW
Coming soon: Anonymous donations
The association is currently working towards obtaining official charitable status. Once this process is completed, we intend to offer anonymous donations through the platform for social change “bcause”.
What will the funds be used for?
- Email campaigning tool to enable supporters to send pre-written emails to decision-makers.
- Personnel costs. At least one part-time position will be needed initially. Fair wages should be the standard to attract and retain capable staff.
- Website expenses (hosting, maintenance, etc.), banking fees, and webinar/presentation tools.
- Honoraria for speakers, approximately €50–100 per presentation.
- Advertising and outreach costs, including social media campaigns to broaden participation in climate action.
- Legal consultation when needed.
- Professionalization costs as the organization grows and free tools are no longer sufficient.
- Expansion into additional countries and scaling up the email protest and advocacy campaigns.
The more financial support the association receives, the faster it will be able to expand its activities internationally.
If you have any questions, please contact us at office@coolfuture.global.
What happens if the association fails?
Should the project ultimately not succeed, any remaining funds will be donated to The Ocean Cleanup, as specified in the association’s statutes, provided that no legal or practical obstacles exist at the time of transfer.
Do you support this approach?
If you believe in this strategy, please support Cool Future with a donation.
Thank you very much!
